Dr. Kylie S. Flynn
Kylie S. Flynn has been a researcher at the Preschool Research Group of the Florida Center for Reading Research under the supervision of Christopher Lonigan for the past six years. She previously worked as a special education teacher for 13 years in California and Florida. Her classroom experience includes work in self-contained classrooms, team teaching in general education classrooms, pull-out programs, prekindergarten inclusion settings, and schools specific to children with disabilities. Kylie received her bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and her master’s degree from Florida State University. Under the direction of Stephanie Al Otaiba, she received her doctoral degree in Special Education at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. Her primary research interests include early literacy and intervention, special education classification and declassification, and response to intervention.
