Congratulations to CTL's Mari Strand Cary on another IES grant!

This new grant from the US Department of Education is entitled, "Evaluation of the KinderTEK iPad Math Program.” Mari Strand Cary is the PI and Ben Clarke and Lina Shanley are the Co-PIs. This grant augments the Center on Teaching and Learning’s growing portfolio of research grants focused on math performance.
The purpose of this new project is to study the efficacy of KinderTEK (KTEK), a tablet-based math program for kindergarten students. The team will conduct a randomized control trial with kindergartners in 11 urban and semi-urban districts in Oregon and Pennsylvania, involving a total of 3000 students and 120 teachers. The overall aim of this study is to gain a clearer understanding of the extent to which personalized, tablet-based technology can play a role in general education classrooms.
